How the mind works has always fascinated me
“We can all change and grow with practice and intent.”
The beginning of my personal growth started when I was learning about mindfulness and yoga in my early thirties, and how it can help self-regulation. That early curiosity became a lasting foundation for the way I work with clients today.
I was interested in how the mind works from a fairly young age and studied child psychology at college when I was a teenager. When I became a teacher, that knowledge was really useful, and I became fascinated about how we learn — including the ideas of Maslow, Bloom and Rosenshine.
After 15 years of teaching, I returned to my studies in this area to become a therapist, bringing together a lifelong interest in people, learning and growth.
I draw upon a rich personal lived experience. I have worked across many industries and have always pushed myself to engage with new and different experiences — something I bring into the therapy room in a grounded, non-judgemental way.
